INFINITY Modular
Storage System Specifications

The Lawson Automotive INFINITY Modular Storage System
is a vehicle-specific storage platform designed for touring vehicles and work wagons.

Unlike traditional fixed drawer systems, INFINITY uses a modular component design that allows storage modules to be installed, removed or reconfigured depending on how the vehicle is used.

The system forms a strong, flat storage platform while allowing drawers, slide systems and accessory modules to be installed
as required.

INFINITY systems are available for:

• Toyota Prado 250
• Toyota LandCruiser 300
• Toyota LandCruiser 200
• Ford Everest
• Isuzu MU-X

Weight Considerations for Touring Setups

Many touring vehicles used for long-distance travel and caravan towing operate close to their Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM).

INFINITY systems are often installed in vehicles where the factory rear seating has been removed
to create a practical touring storage platform.

The examples below show the typical progression from factory seating to a fully installed INFINITY touring system.

Factory Rear Seating Installed

Many touring vehicle owners choose to remove the third row seating to create additional cargo space for storage systems and touring equipment.

Removing the third row seats is a reversible modification, meaning the seats can be reinstalled at any time if required. Because the change is not permanent, this approach is commonly used in touring vehicles and commercial fleets and is permissible in most Australian states and territories.

Many government and emergency service vehicles across Australia operate with the third row seating removed to allow space for specialised equipment and storage systems.

Rear Seats Removed

Removing the factory third row seating frees up valuable cargo space and reduces vehicle weight, creating a practical foundation for a touring storage system.

Typical third row seat assembly weight:

Toyota Prado 250 - Approx 28 kg

Toyota LandCruiser 300 - Approx 30kg

Ford Everest - Approx 26kg

Isuzu MU-X - Approx 24kg

Removing the rear seating creates additional cargo space while offsetting a portion of the weight added by touring storage systems.

INFINITY Storage System Installed

Replacing the factory seating with an INFINITY modular storage system provides organised storage while maintaining a sensible vehicle weight for touring setups.

Typical INFINITY Signature System weight above factory seating:

Toyota Prado 250 + 25kg (7 Seat)
Toyota Prado 250 + 32kg (5 Seat)

Toyota LandCruiser 300 + 50kg (7 Seat)
Toyota LandCruiser 300 + 50kg (5 Seat)

Ford Everest + 46kg

Isuzu MU-X + 45kg

The overall weight increase compared to the removed seating is modest while providing dramatically improved storage functionality.
